  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (for coating)

Instructions:

  1. Activate the yeast:

    • In a small bowl, combine the lukewarm water and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
    • Sprinkle the yeast over the water and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, or until it becomes frothy.
  2. Prepare the dough:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
    • Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the activated yeast and softened butter.
    • Mix the ingredients together until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough:

    • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10-15 minutes, or until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. First rise:

    • Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 to 1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.
  5. Punch down and shape:

    • Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air.
    • Divide the dough into small portions and shape each portion into a ball.
  6. Second rise:

    • Roll each ball in breadcrumbs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    • Let the shaped dough rise for another 30 minutes.
